(Of course I have no problem paying her, but how much would you pay? Money is very tight for us but I want to be fair to her). 1. How to give your newborn a sponge bath? I mean, can I use a waschcloth? Do I start out with a damp one with soap, then a damp one with water? I’ve never given one but know you have to until the umbilical cord falls off.

2. If you put diaper rash ointment on every diaper change to prevent diaper rash, do you put it on the boys penis too? Or just the butt?

3. I live in a very warm climate. Can I dress him in just a onsie (day and night in summer) I will change the onsie at night.

4. Can I wash our clothes together if use Dreft? Or should it still be seperate even though I am using the baby detergent?

5. When can he hold up his head on his own? Should I wait until then to place him on his tummy for supervised tummy time? (NO I wouldn’t leave him alone like that or let him sleep that way, I mean for strengthening the muscles)

6. About how many months did your size N or 1 pampers last you? How many/day?

I’m 32 weeks and begining to plan things for the arrival of my baby boy. I only have 6 weeks off of my job for maternity leave and I just don’t think that is enough time? I live too far from my mother who can keep him while I’m at work and school. I’m really nervous about sending my baby to a day care. Is there anyone out there who made plans to go back to work after your maternity leave was up, but changed your mind at the last minute.

How much would you pay or do you charge for infant private care at their home? In California nannies make between 16-22/hour to go to peoples homes. Day cares typically make 5/hour b/c they have mass amounts of children. Whats fair? What would you pay? This is for an infant!

I live in upstate NY. We are taking care of a premature, (by 3 months) baby that is now 6 mo. old. He has a few medical problems and is on 6 different meds during the day and night. I was just wondering what we should be figuring for the cost of care. We have him basically day and night as the parents don’t seem to have any time for him. They MAYBE spend 2 hours a week with him and even that is distracted by their friends. What do you think we should be charging? How much should we pay a sitter when we need one?

I have a 5 month old infant that was hospitalized for a month. Obvoisly transporting the infant to the hospital counts as medical miles, but does the dailly travel to visit and care for the infant also count as medical miles.

Care includes feeding, diapers, medical procedures that would routinely happen in the home, learn how to do new medical procedures for when the infant returns home and to learn how to use new medical equipment that will be used in the home.
